Call to order: A member meeting of the Pima Corrections Association, was held at the Knights of Columbus hall at 601 S. Tucson Blvd in Tucson Arizona on 12 Dec 2017. The meeting convened at 10:07 A.M., President Thomas Frazier presiding, and Treasurer Richard Schaeffer.

Took vote (via email) for donations to the “angel tree” program. The vote was for a $200.00 donation that passed. The check was given to Mark Boyce. Many new suggestions for next year: Sponsor a family, food bank, different charities. Look at new options next year to other organizations.
Christmas Party: The proceeds from the Glock raffle will be used for the Christmas party. Sean Berube has planned the party date, time, and pricing at Bedroxx. No adult beverages covered by the association (but available for purchase on site by individual members). Food will be provided. Email was sent, $2,000.00 dollars was approved to be released for the party. December 22, 2017 1800-0200 for the party. Overwhelming support with only one response in opposition.
Web domain website for the PCA: Funds were authorized for this domain, waiting on update next meeting.
New business:
Reaching out to the FOP and SEIU in regard to pay packages. Administration saying plan will not be instituted until 2019. The Sheriff’s plan does not support our organizations idea for a fair and equitable pay proposal. Prepare opposition for members.
Pay structure: explore possibility of submitting a pay package to the board of supervisors.
We need printed financial statements for meetings going forward.
William Grimsey provided packets containing lists of department authorized weapons and pricing information about multiple patrol rifles. Kevin Davis has created a list of his personal weapons pricing for custom fire arms.
Previous discussion on bushmaster: non-authorized. Looking for more sales on weapons to set up more raffles on firearms.
Custom build: non-matching, not authorized for $500.00
Vote for decision on authorized weapons for a union raffles.
Pricing for Colt $669.00 + tax at diamondback. Want to begin planning raffle for January 2018. Want to include additional prizes.
We will not be moving forward with the chat based application for mobile phones due to privacy issues.
Find a way to send calendar invites to all members to plan meetings.
MOTIONS:
Called and carried to release $769.00 for rifle purchases for Colt Expanse: This includes additional taxes or expenses that may be encountered during the purchase. Unanimously in favor.
Called and carried to change meeting days to Wednesdays. Only one in opposition.
